Summer League Notes
Yi Jianlian's game-winner for China, set to snazzy new age music
- The Bucks dropped their first summer league game on a Javaris Crittenton buzzer-beater, falling to the Lakers 66-64. David Noel scored 16 along with 6 boards, while Spencer Nelson (who?) chipped in 10 and Awvee Story had 11. Lynn Greer had 13 but shot just 4-15. The Damir Markota Experience contributed an awe-inspiring pair of free throws in 11 minutes.
- Yi Jianlian scored 17 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter, hitting a turnaround glasser with less than a second to go to lift China over Cleveland 85-84. After starting 0-7 Yi went 3-4 in the final quarter and also went to the line an eye-opening 17 times.
- Charlies Gardner continues to work hard at the JS and writes that the Bucks are more convinced than ever Yi Jianlian was the right pick.
"I'm convinced he has no problem going down there and banging," Harris said of Yi's low-post game. "The shot he made, they could have called a foul on that.
"There was a lot of contact, and he was able to finish it off and win the game for them. I'm proud of the young man and really happy to see China get a win in the summer league."
